Central Johannesburg Tvet College is one of the Department of Higher Education and Training’s 50 registered public Technical Vocational Education and Training colleges in South Africa. It seeks to be the country’s chosen public TVET college by developing, empowering, and training people for career and entrepreneurship opportunities that would help the country thrive economically. Financial help is also available for those who are academically deserving but financially challenged. NSFAS bursaries are available to all South African students, including prospective students.

The College’s programs are vocational or occupational, implying that the student is pursuing education and training to pursue a certain set of jobs, career opportunities, or entrepreneurial opportunities. The College’s eight Gauteng campuses include Ellis Park, Parktown, Alexandra, Riverlea, Langlaagte, Crown Mines, Smit Street, and Troyeville. Within a 10-kilometer radius of the Parktown Central Office, there are eight campuses.

The National Technical Education (NATED) and National Certificate (Vocational)-NC programs at Central Johannesburg TVET College are nationally accredited (V). Umalusi, the Council for Quality Assurance in General and Further Education and Training ensures that these programs meet a national standard.

Central Johannesburg College Admissions Requirements For 2024/2025

• An applicant must have completed Grade 12/N3/NQF Level to enroll in Grade 9 or 12 programs or NC (V) LQF Level 2 (Business and General Studies).
• An applicant for an Engineering program must have completed Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science, as well as N3 Engineering/NQF Level 4 on the NQF.
• An applicant for post-Grade 12 programs must demonstrate that they have passed Grade 12/N3/NQF Level 4 or its equivalent.

• A certified copy of the latest school results
• A certified copy of the Identity Document
• Registration fee
• Proof of residence

For international students

• A certified copy of the latest school qualification
• A valid study permit until the end of the relevant study period
• Foreign student registration fee
