By getting the admission forms from the college’s official website, prospective students can get their application process started. Once downloaded, they must be filled out, together with any required paperwork as specified by the college, to authenticate the application. At the beginning of September 2024 running through September 2024, Phalaborwa TVET College will accept applications online.

Phalaborwa Tvet College is one of the campuses of Mopani South East TVET College, which is a government-sponsored, accredited post-secondary college that operates under the Continuing Education Act, Act No.16 of 2006, as amended, by the Department of Higher Education and Training. Mopani South East TVET College is in the Ba-Phalaborwa Municipality, Limpopo Province, and is administered by the Mopani District Municipality.

Phalaborwa Tvet College Admission Requirements

Applicants must pass Grade 9 or above, or have an NQF Level 1/ABET Level 4 certificate, or an approved bridging program developed for the sole purpose of accessing NQF Level 2, or a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) examination to meet the essential requirements for admittance to NQF Level 2.

Admission Requirements for NCV Programs

N4 applicants must complete Grade 12 and meet the minimal prerequisites for admission to a Diploma program. To rewrite a failed subject, N5 requires an N4 certificate or three topics passed at a prior level, as well as proof of enrollment.

Duration of NCV Programs

A minimum of 18 months of theory, six months per level (1 semester), and 18 months of practical practice are required (2000 hours)

NOTE: Students who have completed the N6 Certificate and have 18 months of relevant practical experience are eligible to apply for the National N- Diploma (M+3).

NATED/ Report191

The college also offers NATED/Report 191 programs both in Engineering and Business Studies. NATED/Report 191 programs are delivered under the auspices of the Department of Higher Education and Training.
