Application Details
For information on the application and registration process, check the following sections: Applications for 2024 are officially open at the College of Cape Town until 30 September 2023. For some of these courses, grade 9 is only needed. Head to the campus to apply, and take along a certified copy of your ID, a certified copy of your latest results, and proof of address.
Application Date: Applications are available throughout the year.
Prior to applying to TVET College, have the following:
- Proof/receipt of registration fee payment.
- Certified copies of Identification Documents/Birth Certificates. Similarly, international students must provide their Passport Numbers.
- Exam Results: Final results of grade 12 likewise grade 11 if sitting for grade 12.

How to Apply to Cape Town TVET Colleges
Step 1: Get your application form.
All new applications are online:

Step 2: Complete your application form in full
Verification of e-mail, ID, and cell phone number. Your ID, e-mail, and cell phone are used to authenticate you.
Step 3: Attach all supporting documents.
All applicants starting a new qualification are required to upload the following certified documents:
- Birth Certificate/Identity Document (Proof of application for new ID/Passport)
- Certificates/Qualifications
- Recent Academic results
- Municipal billing document/other account statements (not older than 3 months)
- A valid study permit (Foreign national students)
- The South African Qualification Authority’s (SAQA) Evaluation Certificate (foreign qualifications).
