South West Gauteng Tvet College is now accepting applications for the 2024 academic year. Candidates who qualify should go to the college’s official website, download the application form, fill it out with the needed documents, and submit it before the application deadline. Applicants should be aware that applications submitted after the application deadline will not be processed.
South West Gauteng Institution is a public Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) college that operates under the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) under the Continuing Education and Training Act, Act No.16 of 2006, as amended.
The College has been granted accreditation to conduct education and training, especially in the FET band, by Umalusi and various Sector Education and Training Authorities (Setas) (NQF Level 2 to 4).

Application Process Details
The steps below will show you how to fill out the SWGC application forms in detail:
Step 1:
- Choose your preferred course of study.
- Application forms are available at all College Sites/Campuses, as well as on the College Website.
Step 2: Application Forms
- Hard-copy application forms must be completed using a black pen, with clear printing.
- You must sign your application form. Application forms that are not signed will not be processed.
- An incomplete application will result in delays in processing.
NOTE: Please note that the application form is not a registration form, the registration forms will be made available to successful applicants.
Step 3: Supporting documentation
All applications must be backed by supporting documents, according to the College. Along with the completed application forms, the following papers must be carried along:
- a certified copy of the most recent qualification/results
- Identity document certified copy
- If you have a handicap or ongoing medical condition that requires you to request special help from the College, please include a medical statement from a registered doctor.
