To be eligible for a bursary in a Tvet College in South Africa, you must be among the following people:
- All South African citizens
- All SASSA grant recipients qualify for funding
- Applicants whose combined household income is not more than R350 000 per annum
- A person with a disability: Combined household income must not be more than R600 000 per annum
- Students who started studying before 2018 and whose household income is not more than R122 000 per annum.

TVET College Bursaries Application Date 2024/2025
South Africa Tvet College students are supported by a government agency by NSFAS in giving them loans in the form of bursaries to help them pay for their educational needs. If you will like to apply for a bursary through the NSFAS scheme for the academic year 2024-2025, it must be done before the deadline provided below:
- TVET College Bursaries Application Open Date 2024/2025: Nsfas will be open for the 2024-2025 academic year on September 2023.
- TVET College Bursaries Application Deadline 2024/2025:The online application for Nsfas (Tvet Bursary) will be closing in January 2024.
TVET College Bursaries Ap[plication Requirements 2024/2025
Bursary applicants are tp provide the following documents:
- Signed bursary application form
- 5 Certified copies of I.D.
- Proof of income (grant, pensions, etc) of both parents OR
- The affidavit, if parents/sponsor/guardians are unemployed, deceased or their whereabouts, is not known
- Latest academic results of the applicant (average of 40%)
- Proof of residence
- I.D. or birth certificates of all household members
- Reports of all students in the household
