What qualifications are needed to teach at TVET College?
Relevant a three-year degree or diploma that includes third-year mathematics. a degree in education or another degree that is pertinent. Being able to teach college students will be of added benefit. An advantage would be demonstrated knowledge of vocational training.
Is Teaching Funded by NSFAS?

The Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Colleges Online Application for 2024 opens on 1 April and closes on 30 November. Therefore, all those who want to apply for TVET College Online should do so before the application deadline.
Documents needed to apply for Tvet College
Prior to applying to the college, the following documents are required:
- 3 certified copies of the ID of the Learner
- 3 certified copies of the ID of the Parent/Legal Guardian
- One ID-size photo
- Copy Certified of latest school report/Grade 9 or Higher
- A unique Email address and cellphone number
The colleges mainly offer courses on Levels 1 to 4 on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF), although some colleges offer Higher Certificates on Level 5 with 120 credits.
The two main courses offered by TVET colleges are:
- National Certificate (Vocational) qualifications, the NC (V), and
TVET colleges offer the following additional qualifications and programs:
- Selected UNISA and other qualifications registered on the NQF,
- Occupational work-integrated programs: leadership and apprenticeships, as well as trade tests,
- Skills programs and non-formal short courses, and
