Are you a student attending a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) college who is looking forward to the beginning of your second semester? This stage offers a great opportunity for academic and personal development, and with careful planning, you can use it as a stepping stone for the future.

Second-semester applications are now open at TVET Colleges, one of the TVET Colleges in South Africa. Applications must be done online and will close on 21 June. Should you be interested in applying, do so as soon as possible as spaces are limited.

TVET College offers a variety of courses at its campuses. Student support services are available to all students, including academic support. They also provide assistance to their students with bursary applications.

Be sure to upload all the required documents so that you can avoid any delays when it comes to your application being processed.

Admission requirements for the second semester

National Certificate (Vocational) NQF Levels 2 – 4

  • Gr 9 or 12

Report 191 National Certificate N4 (Business and General Studies)

  • Gr 12
  • N3
  • NQF Level 4

Report 191 National Certificate Engineering N4

  • Gr 12 with Mathematics and Science
  • N3 Engineering
  • NQF Level 4

How to apply for Tvet colleges second semester

Step 1: Do the Pre-Screening Test

You will be requested to sign an acknowledgment that you prefer to make your own choice outside of the placement screening report.

Step 3: Complete your application form in full

Verification of e-mail, ID, and cell phone number. Your ID, e-mail, and cell phone are used to authenticate you.

Step 4: Attach all supporting documents.

All applicants starting a new qualification are required to upload the following certified documents:

      • Birth Certificate/Identity Document (Proof of application for new ID/Passport)
      • Certificates/Qualifications
      • Recent Academic results
      • Municipal billing document/other account statements (not older than 3 months)
      • A valid study permit (Foreign national students)
      • The South African Qualification Authority’s (SAQA) Evaluation Certificate (foreign qualifications).

Step 5: Submit your application

A confirmation email will be sent to you with all the application information.

STATUSES FOR APPLICATIONS

Step 1: Applications received.

2. Applicants with the course-specific/recommended subjects. AP – Application in progress
3. Applicants who do not have the course-specific/recommended subjects. AU – Applicant Unsuccessful
4. Applicants who did not attach visible documents. ND – Outstanding document urgently.
5. Applicants’ applications go through to the Selection Committee for selection AC – Awaiting Selection Committee
6. Applicants’ applications selected by the Selection Committee for Registration/Admission A – Admitted
7. Applicant’s applications NOT selected by the Selection Committee for Registration/Admission because of AP score or received more applications for the qualification X – Not admitted

X – Not admitted Applicants who do not meet the minimum requirements, Business studies students applying for Engineering, etc.

ND – Outstanding documents urgently They will be contacted and given another chance to email their documents.

All the applicants will receive an automated email response from the college saying the Application received.
