Western Technical and Vocational Education and Training College, commonly known as Westcol Technical and Vocational Education and Training College, is a government-run college that is part of the Department of Higher Education and Training. Westcol has six campuses in Westrand, Gauteng, and offers many programs.

Western TVET College offers a variety of National Certificates in Business and Engineering to provide relevant and accessible quality education, training, and development opportunities for our clients, communities, and country through innovative cooperation. Exam Centers are located throughout campus and cover a wide range of subjects.

  • To create an environment that nurtures youth entrepreneurial success by offering entrepreneurship development, incubation and post-incubation services to College graduates, youth graduates and unemployed youth within the West Coast region utilising personnel and key stakeholders with the requisite expertise.

Step 1:

Choosing the programme you would like to study

  • Please choose the programme of your choice and the campus you would like to study at or where the programme is offered

Step 2:

  • Access the online application or visit a campus near you to complete an online application. Students with special needs should please contact our Student Support Office at (022) 482 1143 as well as complete the Special Needs Application Form, which you can download here

Step 3:

Note:

  • The PLACEMENT ASSESSMENT must be completed in its entirety by all first-time registrants.
  • This is not a pass/fail assessment.
  • Your registration may be disqualified if you offer fraudulent information.
  • Please keep your username and password information safe because you’ll need them to check your registration status on the site.
