There are three campuses of Flavius Mareka TVET College. The Sasolburg campus is divided into two halves, one for Engineering Studies and the other for Business Studies. The Kroonstad campus and the Mphohadi campus are the other two campuses in the Kroonstad area.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
At least a 3—year bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification which must include training as an educator

At least 8 years relevant experience of which 5 years at the managerial level, registered with SACE, a valid driver’s license, Comprehensive knowledge of the TVET Sector and FET Act 16/2006, and other relevant legislation, Skills in drafting and control of budgets, Knowledge of procurement processes in the public sector as well as the control over assets, Planning, organizing, co-ordination, control and leadership skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, Ability to work independently and under pressure Good conflict handling and negotiation skills.

MAIN DUTIES:

Ensure coordination and alignment of the campus with the vision of the college and frequently monitor the performance of the campus against the college targets, oversee the entire campus administration including HR functions, finances; the campus budget, and supply chain management and maintain a regularly updated asset register of the campus. Ensure that a labor-friendly environment exists and manage leave as well as the performance of staff at the Campus by guiding, supporting, monitoring, and assessing their performance and developing a wellness program for staff. Manage curriculum and programs offered at the Campus. Liaise with students, parents, and relevant stakeholders with the intention of expanding the reach of campus programs. Develop and implement intervention programs to support students who are underperforming. Perform all other related and relevant functions for the improvement of the college as directed by the Council and management

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
An appropriate bachelor’s degree/National Diploma (NQF level 6) in Accounting and Financial management. Candidate with at least 5 years experience in finance of which 3 years must be at a supervisory level. In-depth knowledge of financial management in the public sector, SAGE system, COLTECH system, PERSAL, and compilation of financial statements. Sound knowledge of GRAP. Other requirements of PFMA and Treasury Regulations are good interpersonal relations, communication, and managerial skills. Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines. Good computer literacy skills (MS Excel and MS Word). Ability to work in a team and independently. Assertiveness and self-starter. A valid driver’s license.

MAIN DUTIES
Planning — Coordinate, review, analyze, and quality assure the financial supporting information for planning purposes. Budgeting — Coordinate, review, analyze and quality assure the budget preparation process.
Collection and recording of revenue (Cashier, banking service, and electronic payments; Debt management and revenue) Expenditure management. Reporting — Coordinate, review, analyze and quality assure the management accounting reporting processes. Manage the operational processes, resources, and procedures associated with the management accounting functions; Assist with the compilation of Annual financial statements according to GRAP.

Appropriate National Diploma NQF 6 in Internal Audit or related qualification. A minimum of 6 years working experience in Internal Auditing of which 3 years must be at a supervisory level. Experience in the development of policies/implementation strategies. Valid driver’s license; Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act; Knowledge of the standards set by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). The reference number of the post must be clearly indicated on the application form. A separate application form (with all relevant documentation) must be completed for every post applied for.

Should you be in possession of a foreign qualification(s), it must be accompanied by an evaluation certificate from the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA). Applicants who have not been contacted by the College within 3 months after the closing date of the advertisement should consider their applications as being unsuccessful.
